Andy Cohen is hyping up Bravo’s newest housewives franchise, The Real Housewives of Rhode Island. Was anyone expecting the Ocean State to be the next Real Housewives location? No. But it sounds like it could be just what Bravo fans have been craving. While we speculate about who will be joining the cast, rumors have been swirling that a Real Housewives of New Jersey star could be moving to Rhode Island. So, will Dolores Catania be joining the RHORI cast?
Andy Cohen calls the Dolores Catania Real Housewives of Rhode Island cast rumor “a little overstated”
Andy has already been talking about the RHORI cast. “The cast is incredible. They are very Italian. Rhode Island is such a small state,” he previously explained, “and they all kind of know each other and overlap. And it’s an incredible group of women who have really interesting connections.” Sounds like the ingredients for a successful cast.
So, does that mean that we will be seeing an established housewife from another franchise on RHORI? “I think that’s been a little overstated,” Andy told PEOPLE. Still, he is open to the concept. “It’s really about who’s in Rhode Island,” he added.
While RHONJ is still paused, with no word about its fate, Andy hinted that fans could get their fix with RHORI. Andy said that it gives “early Jersey vibes,” and is “Italian with a capital I.” Well, with the future of Jersey up in the air, wouldn’t Dolores be an interesting fit? After all, she could have connections to a cast member in RHORI. Since we don’t know who is part of the cast, it’s impossible to know.
Still, Andy didn’t give a definite no on the idea, so perhaps a housewife will pop up in the new series. As of now, there is no release date yet for RHORI.
