The Denver Broncos got to experience a little bit of what Green Bay Packers fans did last off-season. Bo Nix brought hope to a franchise who was in desperate need of it. Green Bay got to see Jordan Love take the torch from Aaron Rodgers in 2023.
However, going into 2025, one former cornerstone player for Green Bay may be headed to help Bo Nix in Denver.
“An Ideal Fit” Broncos Expected To Go After Former Packers’ Cornerstone Player

Free agency begins in March, and the Denver Broncos plan to take a “measured” yet potentially aggressive approach. This spring, Bo Nix’s supporting cast needs to be strengthened:
To that extent, ESPN’s Benjamin Solak recently named former Pro Bowl running back Aaron Jones as an “ideal fit” for the Broncos — assuming he hits the open market.

Jones is coming off a solid 2024 campaign with the Minnesota Vikings in which the 30-year-old workhorse converted 255 carries into 1,138 rushing yards and five touchdowns, adding 51 catches for 408 yards and two receiving scores. He graded out as Pro Football Focus‘ No. 20 RB among 57 qualifiers.
A 2017 fifth-round pick, Jones spent the first seven years of his career with the Green Bay Packers, compiling more than 8,000 yards from scrimmage and 63 total touchdowns across 97 appearances, including 85 starts.

Take a look at Jones’ career stats:
