Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins seemed to indicate he was at a Cleveland area Chipotle this week, fueling the fire that he might be on the Browns' radar.
While Cleveland traded for quarterback Kenny Pickett and holds the second 2025 NFL Draft pick, adding a veteran quarterback of Cousins' stature has always been on the table for the Browns.
If Cousins, who apparently endorses Chipotle's salad with double chicken as his go-to meal, is scouting out the Cleveland area for a potential next stop, you wonder if the Falcons and Browns can work a trade out in the weeks to come.
Cousins has a no-trade clause in his contract with the Falcons, so he'd have to approve any potential destination. He reportedly told Atlanta wants to start somewhere in 2025, and Cleveland represents the clearest path for him to do so right now unless the Pittsburgh Steelers abandon their Aaron Rodgers pursuit.
SI's Albert Breer shared that Cousins wants to wait until after the draft before accepting a trade, presumably to avoid the whole "my new team just drafted a rookie quarterback" thing. If the Browns want to take quarterback Shedeur Sanders, would that complicate a Cousins trade, even if Cleveland sits Sanders in 2025? Who's to say.
Perhaps Atlanta is able to finally move on from Cousins, and Cleveland gets a bona fide veteran starter for 2025.
At the least, this Cleveland area Chipotle can apparently count Cousins as one of its fans.
