Amon-Ra St. Brown reiterates Week 1 opponent he wants in interview with comedian

The cold tub is surely a routine part of Amon-Ra St. Brown's in-season existence, so he has a tolerance for the freezing temperature of it. Normal humans, like actor/comedian Kevin Hart, obviously will have a harder time sitting in a cold tub for any significant length of time.

Amon-Ra St. Brown reiterates Week 1 opponent he wants in interview with comedian

St. Brown's podcast, with he does with his brother Equanimeous is on hiatus right now. The Lions' offseason program doesn't start for another couple weeks, so St. Brown is free to do appearances on other people's podcasts if he wishes.

St. Brown appeared on a new episode of Hart's "Cold As Balls" podcast, which was released on Tuesday.

St. Brown talked about his youth and eventually focusing on football, before he got to the Lions' Divisional Round loss to the Washington Commanders.

"Washington, they played a good game. We had some turnovers, you wish you could have those back, but they took care of the ball better than us," St. Brown said. "I think that's what it came down to. We had four or five turnovers, I don't think they had one."

Hart asked St. Brown about his aspirations for next season, to which the "Sun God' plainly said "we want to win a Super Bowl." Hart, a noted Philadelphia Eagles fan, offered a "but" regarding the defending Super Bowl champions, who the Lions will play in Philadelphia next season, being in the way of that goal.

St. Brown then reiterated what he said on his podcast after the Super Bowl back in February.

"Hopefully we play you guys Week 1", St. Brown said.

Then Hart asked, "Oh, is that your wish?", which St. Brown further affirmed by saying "It is." Which led to Hart's rebuttal, which came off like "be careful what you wish for, buddy."

"Well guess what I'm gonna make a call", Hart said. "You want us? You got us...You're welcome, and I'm sorry."

If the Lions did draw the Eagles in Week 1, it would of course be the Thursday night season opener. It would be the second time in three seasons the Lions played in that game against the defending champions, but given the tv ratings draw Dan Campbell's team has become the schedule makers are surely considering it.
