Chicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso earned another league-wide recognition Tuesday as he was named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team.
Caruso previously earned the NBA 2023-24 Hustle Award and finished 10th in Defensive Player of the Year voting.
In his third season with the Bulls, Caruso once again served as the team's standard-bearer for defense. Per Basketball Reference, Caruso ranked fourth in steals per game (1.7) and seventh in defensive box plus/minus (2.3) during the 2023-24 NBA regular season.
This is the second consecutive season in which Caruso has received NBA All-Defensive Team honors as he was named to the first team in 2022-23.
Caruso likely will be a key figure in the Bulls' near-term roster decisions as he's eligible for a contract extension going into the 2024-25 NBA Regular season, per Spotrac.
