Nick Saban issued his official 2024 College Football Playoff predictions, which drew plenty of negative reaction from Alabama when he revealed his SEC and national title picks.
Saban did include Alabama as the No. 7 seed in his official 2024 projected playoff field, but that means the Crimson Tide were not champs. Instead, Saban had a simple statement on who he believes will top the league in 2024.
"Somebody has got to beat Georgia," Saban said over and over again about the Dawgs.
He loves them in the SEC. Saban even noted that Alabama is the only program that has even proved capable of beating Georgia over the last couple of seasons. With that coach gone, and no other contenders having beaten UGA lately, though, Saban couldn't go against them.
But that selection drew some hostile responses online from Alabama fans who couldn't believe the former Tide coach picked the Bulldogs.
