UA was ranked fourth overall in both the AP and coaches polls when they were released on Monday. Auburn, garnering 59 of 60 votes, kept the No. 1 spot in the AP, and took it unanimously in the coaches top 25.

Florida sat in second place in both polls, replacing Alabama on the AP list and taking one vote for No.1 in that ranking. It was also No. 2 on the coaches poll.

Duke sat third in the rankings. The Blue Devils stand as Auburn’s lone non-SEC loss this season.

The Auburn loss began a tough stretch of schedule for the Crimson Tide. Alabama will not face a team not currently ranked in the top 25 for the rest of the SEC season.

“We got six tough games,” Tide head coach Nate Oats said after the loss on Saturday. “We gotta be ready for every last one of them. We talk a lot about adversity. Sometimes it makes you better.”

The 2024-25 gauntlet continues on Wednesday, when Alabama travels to Missouri. The Tigers are ranked No. 15 in the AP poll and No. 16 in the coaches rankings.

Saturday, the Crimson Tide will be back in Coleman Coliseum, facing Kentucky, a team it beat earlier this season in Lexington. The Wildcats stand at No. 17 in the AP rankings, and No. 21 on the coaches poll.

The Alabama-Missouri game is scheduled to tip off at 8 p.m. CT Wednesday in Columbia. The matchup will be aired on the SEC Network.
