AL.com’s sports video team received a Southeast Emmy Award on Saturday for its interview with Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer last summer.
“One-on-One with Kalen DeBoer” was released before the 2024 season and introduced audiences to the new coach of the Crimson Tide. ESPN’s Lauren Sisler conducted the interview with DeBoer, who opened up about his South Dakota roots, following Nick Saban and his goals for his first season at Alabama.
The interview was filmed in Tuscaloosa by Wesley Sinor and Clay Yeager and was produced and edited by Laura Goldman. The team, formed in 2015, has received 25 Southeast Regional Emmy nominations in total. This is its fourth win.
