The Bachelor season 28 star Joey Graziadei has been showcasing his theatrical talents while he competes on Dancing With The Stars season 33, but, if he chooses to pursue an acting career in the future, it could destroy his relationship with Kelsey Anderson. Joey and Kelsey got engaged during The Bachelor season 28 finale, after he made his television debut in Charity Lawson's Bachelorette season, during which he was her runner-up.
Joey then accepted the role as the lead of The Bachelor season 28. After his finale aired, Joey made a cameo appearance on the procedural drama series, 9-1-1, in an episode that took place at the Bachelor Mansion. He also appeared on The Golden Bachelor during the pickleball group date. Joey had now made it to the finale of Dancing With The Stars season 33 with his professional dance partner, Jenna Johnson. Although he can be shy and quiet at times, Joey seems very comfortable on screen, so it wouldn't be surprising if he pursued an acting career next. However, this would be a mistake.
Joey Graziadei Shines When Playing Characters On Dancing With The Stars
What Joey Graziadei Has Said About His Theatrical Side
Since his debut on Dancing With The Stars season 33, Joey has been shining as he takes on the roles of various characters in his dances, including Disney's Tarzan and a ventriloquist in his Halloween Night dance. During his semi-finals Paso Doble rehearsal footage, Jenna pointed out to him that their best performances have been when he's playing a character. She then asked him if he knew that he had this theatrical side to him.
Joey responded that he was very theatrical and dramatic as a kid. He explained that his sisters would push him, and he'd make things "bigger," adding "a lot of extra to stuff."Joey shared in his confessional that, for Dancing With The Stars, he felt confident that he was athletic enough to be able to be light on his feet, but he didn't know that he was capable of the performance side. However, Joey has been so successful at all aspects of dancing that he made history as the first-ever male Bachelor Nation member to make it to the Dancing With The Stars finale.
After his Paso Doble semi-finals dance, co-host Julianne Hough told him that he'd captured the characters in both styles of his dancing that night, including the Paso Doble and the Foxtrot. She asked him if, without a background in performance, he ever thought he'd be this versatile. Joey laughed, "No, because when does someone get a chance to do this." He added that he just listened to Jenna each time, and that he was just trying to make her proud and really get into character.
An Acting Career Could Ruin Joey & Kelsey's Relationship
Joey & Kelsey Should Focus On Each Other Now
If Joey pursues an acting career after The Bachelor and Dancing With The Stars, it could ruin his relationship with Kelsey. They've been going nonstop since they got engaged. In addition to all of Joey's commitments, Kelsey was busy supporting her father when he was a contestant on Joan Vassos' Golden Bachelorette season, and she made an appearance on Jenn Tran's Bachelorette season during the Wicked-themed one-on-one date. They also competed on an episode of Celebrity Family Feud.
If Joey shifts his focus to acting, it will be yet another distraction from his engagement and marriage to Kelsey. Joey has said that they were putting their wedding planning on hold until after Dancing With The Stars, and an acting career could delay their plans even more. Although Joey might be great at acting, he shouldn't jump into a new role so quickly after his Dancing With The Stars season 33 run.
Joey will probably have a lot of television opportunities in the future, especially if he wins Dancing With The Stars season 33. If he does decide to pursue an acting career, he should wait until he and Kelsey finalize their wedding plans, or even until after they get married. This would Kelsey that she's his top priority. Joey and Kelsey are perfect for each other, and, right now, they should focus on their future together.
