A.J. Brown provides eye-opening quote regarding his relationship with Jalen Hurts

The relationship between Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown was a hot topic throughout the 2024 NFL season. The two stars were friends prior to playing together in Philadelphia, and that friendship endured after they became teammates, although it's certainly been tested at times.

Despite some friction, which is common in most friendships, especially one between two high-level professional athletes, Hurts and Brown climbed the mountain together and now they stand at the top as NFL champions, and that experience has likely only strengthened their bond.

A.J. Brown acknowledges that he and Jalen Hurts have had issues, but they've been able to work through them

During a recent podcast appearance, Brown shed some light onto his relationship with Hurts, and where the two stand today.

"I'd be sitting up here lying telling you we never had any issues," Brown said on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, via Sports Illustrated. "We're two alphas who want to be the best, and demand greatness from each other and everyone around us. Some reports are true, some reports aren't. But me and him are good man. We just wanna be great. We push each other, and sometimes we bump heads, but that's normal. And don't nobody sweat it."

Brown thinks that any friction between the two stars has been magnified because of where they play. There was a famous feud in Philadelphia between a star receiver and quarterback in the past, and Eagles fans don't want to see history repeat itself.

"It's normal," Brown said. "But with the history of this team, with [Donovan] McNabb and [Terrell Owens], everything is magnified times ten."

Hopefully, these quotes from Brown can help put to rest any lingering questions or doubts regarding the relationship between star receiver and quarterback, if the Super Bowl win didn't already do that.

In three seasons together, Brown and Hurts have helped to lead the Eagles to two Super Bowl appearances, and they've both enjoyed plenty of individual success as well. Brown was named Second-Team All-Pro in all three of his seasons in Philly, and he made the Pro Bowl twice.

Hurts has also received two Pro Bowl nods during that time, and he was named Second-Team All-Pro in 2022. He was also just named the MVP of Super Bowl 59.

Clearly, the pairing has been extremely productive, and unlike the duo of McNabb and Owens before them, Hurts and Brown have shown an ability to work through their issues. And, with both players locked up under contract for the foreseeable future, that dynamic duo is far from finished in Philly.
