Maybe bets like this on the Las Vegas Raiders should be expected, given that they play in the gambling capital of the world.
Still, Vegas play or not, everyone in the NFL world did a double take and rubbed their eyes to make sure they were reading the number correctly when news of this bet broke.
On Tuesday July 8, 2025, Ben Fawkes at Yahoo Sports reported that someone bet $25,000 that the Raiders would win Super Bowl 60.
One bettor at DraftKings wagered $25,000 on the Las Vegas Raiders to win Super Bowl LX at 100-1 odds back on April 9.
Bet would win $2.5 million if Raiders win their first Super Bowl since 1984.

The Raiders have 100-1 odds to win the Super Bowl at DraftKings, where the bettor placed the wager back on April 9, 2025. So, the bettor would win $2.5 million if the Raiders shocked the world and won the big game.
On paper, this bettor just found a creative way to burn $25,000.
The Raiders went 4-13 in 2024. Every other team in their division made the playoffs last season, and they’re all running it back with a similar roster in 2025. The 2025 AFC West is likely to be one of the toughest divisions of all time.
When you put it that way, if this bettor was just looking to offload some cash, he could have sent it my way. Heck, I’d have at least put it to good use, like my student loans or buying a car.
Despite that, Pete Carroll has said his goal is a Super Bowl win as soon as possible. The Raiders have overhauled their roster at least on offense, adding Ashton Jeanty and Geno Smith to an already talented core that is now coached by Chip Kelly.
If everything goes right for Las Vegas, meaning their draft picks develop into stars and their veterans stay healthy, they do have the talent to make some noise and compete for a playoff spot.
Still, $25k? Maybe a $250 bet could have been a lower risk, but still high-reward bet. $25k seems like an awfully excessive amount of confidence, even for the most optimistic Raiders fan.
Most Raiders fans would be happy if the Raiders just made it back to the playoffs in 2025. But this guy is going to be awfully disappointed if anything happens other than a Raiders Super Bowl win.
The Raiders aren’t the only long-shot Super Bowl winner that bettors are already putting a lot of cash on. Fawkes covered all of the biggest NFL bets so far in a Yahoo article released on July 11, 2025.
At Ceasar’s Sportsbook, someone has $2,000 on the Cleveland Browns to win the Super Bowl at 200-1 odds. That guy seems even more sure to lose his cash, betting on the Browns, but he does have only $2k on the line compared to $25k. The bet would win him $400,000.
There are also bets of $1.5k each on the New York Giants and Jacksonville Jaguars at Ceasar’s at 200-1 odds. Each of those bets would yield $300,000 to the (very) lucky winner.
One fan is staking even more cash than the Raiders fan on his team. At DraftKings, someone bet $30k on the Detroit Lions to win Super Bowl 60 at 10-1 odds. The bet would yield $300,000.
The Lions fan has much more reason to be confident than the Raiders fan however, given that the Lions were 15-2 last season.
But what do you think, Raiders fans? Is this bettor in for a big payday or a big loss when Super Bowl 60 rolls around?
