The Philadelphia 76ers didn’t get to close out the season the way they wanted to.

Joel Embiid’s injury derailed their entire campaign, and a first-round matchup with the New York Knicks didn’t do much to help their case.

Now, they’re facing a key offseason in which they might be able to land another star player to pair with Tyrese Maxey and Embiid.

However, they could also have some notable departures.

According to Evan Sidery of Forbes, Kelly Oubre Jr. could fetch plenty of interest in free agency in the offseason.

Oubre outplayed his veteran minimum contract, averaging 15.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.8 stocks (steals/blocks) per game in his lone season under coach Nick Nurse.

Sidery adds that the Sixers want to keep Oubre in town, but they will most likely have to battle with multiple bidders for the two-way forward.

Oubre had some big games for the Sixers last season, especially when Embiid was out.

There were stretches in which he was the second-best player on the team behind Maxey.

Despite a bizarre accident and suffering multiple injuries, he still made his way back to the court in no time, showing the kind of grittiness and toughness that coaches love so much.

The Sixers will reportedly look to make a run at Paul George as well.

But with Tobias Harris most likely on his way out, there will be some space on the wing for Oubre to extend his stay in the City of Brotherly Love, assuming no other team makes him an offer he can’t refuse.
