The San Francisco 49ers' streak of being favored in every game this year will continue in Week 7 despite them facing the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs.
San Francisco's clash with the Chiefs at Levi's Stadium pits the 49ers with the team that has twice denied them their dreams of Super Bowl glory, most recently in February when Kansas City won Super Bowl 58 in an overtime thriller.
With the 49ers struggling for consistency and the Chiefs 5-0 coming off a bye, all the signs appear to point to a Kansas City win.
However, the oddsmakers do not necessarily see it that way, instaling the 49ers as 1.5-point favorites, per DraftKings Sportsbook.
With home advantage thought to be worth between 1.5 and 2 points against the spread, that line is oddsmakers declaring the Super Bowl rematch a coin flip.
That still may seem to be giving the 3-3 49ers too much credit going against an opponent they have not beaten since 2014.
But with the 49ers coming off one of their best performances of the season last week against the Seattle Seahawks and clearly capable of competing with the Chiefsn, treating the game as a toss up is the sensible approach.
It's difficult to bet against the Chiefs, especially given Andy Reid's reputation in games coming off a bye, but the circumstances are such that the 49ers are a team worth believing in to banish at least some of their agonizing painful Super Bowl memories with victory on a much less significant stage.
