Despite playing in his age-34 season, Zach Ertz remained one of the league’s more reliable tight ends. Reunited with former head coach Kliff Kingsbury, the veteran started all 17 games while recording 66 receptions for 654 yards and seven touchdowns on 91 targets. With his help, Washington surprised everyone and made it to the NFC Championship. Unfortunately, the team’s magical season came to an end with a blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Zach Ertz originally entered the league as a second-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. Selected by the Philadelphia Eagles, the Stanford product has a promising rookie season, recording 36 receptions for 469 yards and four touchdowns on 57 targets. He continued to improve on a year-by-year basis, establishing himself as a key fixture in the Philadelphia Eagles passing attack from 2013 to 2021.

Ertz’ best stretch of play came from 2017 to 2019. Making the Pro Bowl in all three seasons, the former second-round pick helped the team win their first Super Bowl in 2017 and recorded a career-high 1,163 yards and eight touchdowns in 2018.

The Eagles traded Zach Ertz to the Arizona Cardinals after stumbling out of the gate in 2021. Brought on to assist a rising Kyler Murray, the tight end recorded 56 receptions for 574 yards and three touchdowns during his first season with the team. Despite his strong play, the Cardinals went one-and-done in the playoffs, losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams.

Since signing his rookie contract, Zach Ertz has appeared in 168 games while making 130 starts. While on the field, the Stanford product has recorded 775 catches for 8,088 yards and 53 touchdowns.
