3-0 in the Mike Macdonald era: Seahawks find a way to win no matter what

The Seahawks are one of just two remaining undefeated teams in the NFC. Let that sink in.

A win in the NFL is hard enough but can be attributed to any number of variables in a game. Two in a row shows a team that can win in a variety of ways.

But three in a row? That's more than a trend. That's the identity of this Seahawks team.

"I thought we took a step forward today," said head coach Mike Macdonald after Sunday's 24-3 win over the Dolphins.

"I thought our front played incredibly hard getting to the ball with a sense of urgency, which was really fun to watch and be part of," Macdonald added.

The Seahawks have proven they are dynamic and can win in multiple ways, essentially taking advantage of what the other team gives them.

So while a critic may say the Seahawks have taken advantage of teams with losing records or backup quarterbacks, the reality is you have to look a little deeper than that.

Which is why we're asking you- when will the Seahawks finally lose their first game?

So far, the Seahawks have risen to the occasion every week.

So even if the competition rises next week when the Seahawks fly to Detroit for Monday Night Football, there's reason to believe the Hawks will find a way to make it happen again. By the way, you can watch that game on KOMO.

But it won't be easy and Macdonald is well aware.

"It's awesome to be 3-0," Macdonald said. "Obviously we got a big one coming up, too. We'll shift our focus after we celebrate today."

Rest assured, the Hawks are spending this week and one extra day preparing for what the Lions bring to the table.

"I think [the] only thing that stopped us today was the stupid penalties that we had. False starts, holdings," said wide receiver DK Metcalf after Sunday's victory over Miami. "Good thing we won, so we clean it up on Monday, Tuesday, and move on to the Lions."

So there's a long way to go in a regular season that doesn't wrap up until January 5. What we can take from this early hot start is this team is multi-faceted.

They can overcome costly mistakes and turn things around on a dime, like we saw in the 26-20 victory over Denver in Week 1.

They can gut it out and make the key plays they have to like we saw in the overtime win over New England in Week 2.

But on Sunday? They can flat-out dominate with a menacing defense that's almost impossible to score on at times as the Dolphins learned.
